Motivate Yourself When You're Sick And Sad But How?
69
It's like the following quote who happens to be my own:
"Clouds are a temporary presence of a state that happens to hide the sun for a second but will never be able to stop its rays to reach you."
Looking/Observing yourself a bit from a distance and not identify yourself with whatever issue you might have, be it stress, disease/illness of bigger or little amplitude ... perturbed lifestyle ..etc...etc..etc..., helps to calm down. This calm, actually is right what you need in order to find yourself within a mess even if that's not going to solve it especially right away but even on that, there's no written rule on how fast that change might happen when you can remain calm in the middle of the situation you just have. But the real point is to make this state of calm a constant part of your everyday life. Some times it works just fine, some times you are just "Aaargh" and in that case .. allow it to be but if it starts to be automatic ... that's the best sign to know that you can do something about it as paradoxical that might sound. Basically, the secret who isn't one, is to lower your brain activity as close as possible to what is called its alpha state. The normal daily brain activity is the beta-Level and the alpha level is closer to a state of deep relaxation or even the activity of your brain when you sleep. I am not telling you to go to sleep ...lol... :D.!
I'm only explaining in short that the more relaxed your emotions, your thoughts flow and your body is during the actions it does, the less affected you are by all kind of stress. So when it happens that you have the worst day ever, this might be some circumstances of the moment but you must not stick to it with your mood, when you recognize it. You can choose what it's going to be for yourself, like:
The day started "AAARGH-Like" .. but I am Ok and it's going to be way better .. :-)!
You even have a method that is very effective on this called the Silva Method from Jose Silva. A lot of people used the method to empower/motivate themselves on a daily basis and are rarely in a Low. Some even healed themselves from diverse illnesses or diseases, from chronic migraines to so called incurable cancers ...
I am going to write an article on the subject the next days anyway and go more into details.
Just to give you an idea of what I meant just above by identifying Yourself with an issue:
"I am busy" - Well I got good news for you; NO you're not!
"I am nifwlseirff" or "I am great today" ... "I am Happy" ...
The list goes on and on & on.
And if all that isn't the case, find a reason to, even the tiniest.
But you got my point I would guess and you can play that game 24/7.
You do that constantly, and your subconscious will notice that something might be
busy all around you, but does not record this within you on its
"ToDo-" and "ToBe-List" of things/Moods/perceptions that have to be expressed.
I hope it makes sense to you

Interesting hub. I have just recently heard about the silva method. You have a very positive spirit. Be well my friend.
I like this hub a bit but it was sort of tough to get through some parts of it, but I stayed the course till the very end. Maybe if you explain certain things like more about the alpha & beta parts, as well as the silva method itself, like what is it really.
The reader is looking for use in a hub, pretty much, as well as the entertainment factors, and overall quality, so if you want, I suggest to try looking the hub over a few times, it will help you to see what I mean & what others are seeing as well.
Also try to have others read it with you, and many of your folks to get a better idea on what parts made sense to them, and what didn't, because you don't want to throw off your readers, or it may cause your hubpages viewers to quit reading, and they will go elsewhere mighty quickly.
I won't cheat you by simply acting as if your hub hadn't been a tough one to read entirely, with a quick comment, nope no can do. Your writing ability is definitely good, but you do need to identify things more clearly for us all as a hub writer.
Spacing is a key to helping you see things more clearer so try to play around with creating page subtitles or sub sections (add more capsules & break up the wording into organized sections), and spacing, learn from the top hubbers, that's how I been improving myself. I shall return here soon, and hopefully you took my constructive criticism to mind, and gave it another look, proof reading works wonders, and editing as well. Its the truest magic us hub authors have at our disposal.
Good luck!! and welcome to hubpages
Always keep motivational quote around where you can read them even if you have to write them on the bathroom mirror. Read motivational books and articles, watch inspirational movies and shows,
keep motivational CD's at the ready; so you can pop them in as needed.
Welcome to HubPages. Interesting article
